JOB TITLE:   Extended School Year Instructional Aide (Summer Program)

REPORTS TO: Special Education Program Supervisor

 

 

PRIMARY PURPOSE: Assist the classroom teacher to provide for the physical and instructional needs of students.

Assist in the implementation of classroom programs, including self-help, behavior management, and instruction.

Work under the general supervision of the summer program supervisor and the immediate direction of a certified teacher.

Contribute to the prevention of accidents and injuries by observing safety rules and District policy, practicing the principles and skills taught in safety training, wearing personal protective equipment as required, reporting injuries and incidences immediately to supervisor, and being proactive in the ongoing efforts to improve workplace safety.
