PRIMARY PURPOSE:       Assist with the instruction of the Elementary Summer Enrichment Programs to provide students enrolled in the programs with appropriate learning activities and social learning experiences to help them prepare for academic success at all levels.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: Must be current Irving ISD employee

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

 

Instructional Strategies:

 

  1. Work with individual students or small groups to conduct instructional exercises as assigned.
  2. Maintain confidentiality of information.
  3. Assist in maintaining a neat and orderly work environment.
  4. Assist in supervising students throughout the school day as needed.
  5. Assist in the maintenance of administrative records and preparation of reports as required.
  6. Assist in preparing materials/displays for instruction or campus operations.
  7. Use appropriate technologies to strengthen and enhance the teaching and learning process.
  8. Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
  9. Use appropriate and acceptable communication skills to present information accurately and clearly.
  10. Demonstrate behavior that is professional, responsible and in compliance with the Professional Code of Ethics.
  11. Must be able to teach and model all curriculum instructional goals including but not limited to:
