PRIMARY PURPOSE:        Administer language assessment test(s) to students to determine program placement and exit as well as maintain required data/reports requested by supervisor.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

 

  1. Administer oral language proficiency assessments to students
  2. Provide accurate records of the assessment results
  3. Communicate with campus personnel regarding assessment results
  4. Arrange appointments for testing and maintain logs
  5. Serve as a translator, if needed
  6. Assist with oral language proficiency testing at campuses
  7. Provide information to parents regarding language assessment procedures and results
  8. Maintain confidentiality of all information obtained at the testing center or campuses
  9. Maintain inventory of testing materials and supplies
  10. Maintain proper security of testing materials at all times
  11. Stay abreast of any testing changes made locally or statewide
  12. Attend trainings on the administration of oral language proficiency tests
  13. Assist with any data input assignment as directed by Coordinator
  14. Perform other duties as assigned

WORKING CONDITIONS:

 

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:   Must maintain emotional control and exercise reasoning and problem-solving skills while under stress. Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written). Move materials up to 25 pounds. Frequent in-district travel. Occasional prolonged and irregular hours.
